Remember to choose the coach, the time of the practice, the background sounds (or silence) and the type of technique. It will take some exploration to find techniques which suit you best e.g. some people will prefer visualisations and others may find this hard. Many people will find breath work easy and this is often a good place to start. Mindfulness can be very helpful if your goal or problem is associated with becoming more aware of how you are thinking: or maybe looking to manage your reactions to your own thoughts. Body scans can be simple and helpful for relaxing. Affirmations can be helpful for any objectives you have to build confidence or change how you feel about a situation or person. Loving-kindness is a wonderful option to choose to improve how you feel about yourself and others. It's entirely up to you what you wish to choose and how much you wish to experiment. Be patient: by the way mindfulness and loving-kindness are both good options for improving your patience!
