About the client:
they manufacture Eurostar and a third of all rolling stock/trains in the UK. They are also doubling in size having recently been awarded a £4 billion contract to build new underground trains. So this is a really good business to be with. We have also been referred to their Energy business and are hoping to get one of their directors to come and view this event too.

Some background information:
This is a slightly unusual event in that they want us to showcase what we can do with a view to their various depot managers buying in what services they would like to run at their own locations. The central team Mark has been negotiating with anticipate that they will wish to run small events (i.e. maybe our team of 3 or 4 turning up and working with smaller numbers throughout the day)...so unlike some of the lager Network Rail events we have been running but probably more manageable. This could be a team focusing on health measures or a team focusing on back care and functional fitness etc. Hopefully over the course of a year they will wish to run a couple of events at each of their depots.

So, proposed is a similar layout to the Ricoh event...only in the sense that we can showcase 4 separately themed zones and their staff and managers can decide which zones they wish to spend time in on May 1st. There will be more explanation in due course as some of it is still taking shape but essentially we 'll have a similar number of 7Futures personnel at the event but probably a third of the numbers attending. So it will feel less hectic in each zone and some may be quiet at times.

Travel

  • Parking - There is limited car parking space at the venue. Please car share.

  • Anyone intending to travel by train can you please advise Mark asap. (Understand so far that Aidan and Hannah are going by train).

  • No hotel accommodation booked..

  • If travelling by car 7Futures will pay an allowance of 40p a mile - please try to car share where possible.
